Freedom Self Storage - Guysborough

I’ve rented a storage unit from Freedom Self Storage at both the Boylston and Beech Hill locations. My experience with them has been fantastic. I wanted to take the time to shoutout Pat, an employee of Freedom Self Storage. He is quick to respond to any questions you may have and is always professional. He went above and beyond to help us out when we needed a unit at Christmas this year. My stored items are dry, clean and in perfect condition when I need them.

We have been using a unit now for 8 months and are very happy with it. Pat is great to deal with. The units are very clean and dry. Easy to access even during the winter. And we got a bonus this month of a months free rent because we recommended them..nice surprise.

Currently renting a unit for about 2 years now and they are amazing to deal with easy to access your unit. Never had an issue I use the Bluetooth option for my lock and I love it. The units are spacious and clean. Great job!

Had a unit rented in their Boylston location. It was a hassle with them the whole time. I was told a lock would be there for me, and there wasn’t. Okay no big deal. I asked for a bill as I wasn’t receiving one, to find my locks cut 2 weeks later. I was not reimbursed for my cut lock. I was then charged for late fees as my payments weren’t made on him, but remember I asked for a bill weeks prior. I was charge different rates almost monthly, having to fight for the agreed upon rate at time of renting. i was charged late fees multiple times as they were not sending me bills, and I was unsure of what the full payment would be. I sent an email notifying I would be leaving on a specific date, at which point I was up to date on payments. They continued to send me bills for 2 months after I left. I am glad I fought for e-transfer option and not automatic credit card payments. I absolutely do NOT recommend this company. Rent elsewhere.

Freedom Self Storage has made so many great improvements to the self storage facilities they have acquired. It's wonderful to see! I also love that they sponsor community events. Their mascot Freedom Freddy puts a smile on my kids faces when we see him out and about at events. :)
